What do stakeholders expect from each other in our global partnerships and what will be the impact of the release of the Defence Industrial Strategy Version 2.0 for your projects? Both are core questions as we move into 2008. While the long term benefits of partnering are now accepted, the best methods of implementation, the future roadmap for MoD’s around the world and the best examples to learn from are all issues that remain undecided.
Successful partnerships depend upon successful relationship management. Understanding the needs and requirements of your customers has never been more important and success is often based upon your ability to respond and adapt to the demands of projects on a constant basis.
Defence IQ’s 7th annual Defence Partnering and Alliances conference, taking place on 29th - 30th January 2008 at Café Royal, London, is a critical opportunity for the military community to discuss best practice and successful techniques with the wider sector, gaining insights and moving forward.
Who will I meet and who is speaking?

Exclusive Pre-Conference Workshop: Monday 28th January
Assessing The Skills, Relationships, Behaviours And Commitment Required To Make Partnering A Success
Successful partnering relationships depend upon a range of factors, some procedural in nature, others relating to the “working together” elements. Success is based upon having all these elements correct and ensuring that every stakeholder is involved and understands the needs and motives of their counterparts.
This workshop will focus upon this element of working together, demonstrating how, with the correct approach and an understanding of previous successes and challenges overcome, disputes and distrust can be avoided and all parties can be assured of long-term project fulfilment.
Led by:
Roger Powell
Leader, Joint Partnering and Relationship Team, Associated Ideas Limited; and Former Sea King IPT Leader, DLO
