The Systems and Proposal Engineering Company (SPEC) was formed in 1993 to advance the art and science of systems engineering and better communicate the results of architecture projects. SPEC provided the leadership for many programs including recent architecture developments for BEA and FCS. SPEC performed this work using tailored system engineering tools and techniques, with our “middle-out” process to meet DoDAF requirements, while keeping costs low. This methodology is described in Dr. Steven H. Dam’s new book “Knowledge-Based Analysis and Design (KBAD) - A Methodology for Rapid, Cost-effective System Engineering and Architecture Development.” SPEC is a woman-owned small business.
